About The Position

Xometry is seeking a Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Planning to build demand planning, supply planning, and analytical capabilities for its strategic production programs. The role translates customer demand into partner capacity requirements, production placement, material plans, and lead-time commitments, and provides leadership with actionable analysis on capacity, volume placement, inventory, and risk. The position combines ongoing planning responsibilities with program management for new and emerging opportunities that do not yet have established playbooks. The successful candidate will structure ambiguous problems, establish operating approaches, and prove them out before transitioning them to steady-state owners. The role reports to the Director, Strategic Program Enablement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, or materials planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience running or supporting an S&OP or supply and demand review process.
  • Strong quantitative and modeling skills, with advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience with SQL or a comparable analytical tool and building dashboards in a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers on capacity, schedules, and material.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including presenting analysis to senior leaders.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate, with judgment about when data is sufficient to make a decision.
  • Able to structure ambiguous problems quickly and comfortable being the first person to work on them.
  • Builds repeatable processes and tools rather than relying on one-time efforts.
  • Follows through by keeping plans current and closing the loop with stakeholders.
  • Able to influence without authority across commercial, operational, and technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in contract manufacturing or a multi-supplier network environment.

  • Experience supporting production programs through launch and ramp.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain demand forecasts for strategic production programs using customer forecasts, order history, and input from account and program teams.
  • Translate demand into partner capacity requirements, production placement, material plans, and lead-time commitments.
  • Monitor partner capacity, production schedules, and inventory positions, and flag shortfalls, excess, and on-time delivery risk.
  • Run recurring supply and demand reviews with commercial, operations, and partner network stakeholders, driving decisions and follow-ups to closure.
  • Set and track planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy, capacity coverage, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of demand, committed capacity, and program loading across the strategic program portfolio.
  • Build scenario models to evaluate the effects of volume changes, capacity constraints, partner changes, and program ramps.
  • Lead analysis supporting capacity, sourcing, safety stock, and cost-to-serve decisions, and present findings with clear recommendations.
  • Build reusable models, dashboards, and reports.
  • Define planning data requirements and work with Product and Data teams to improve inputs, definitions, and systems.
  • Support program managers on new opportunities with demand and capacity planning, timelines, and status tracking.
  • Establish reporting and metrics for new programs to track cost, quality, and delivery through pilot and ramp.
  • Coordinate schedules, material, and shipment plans with partners and internal teams during program launches.
  • Document planning processes and templates for reuse as additional programs are added.
  • Work with Sales and Account teams to turn customer roadmaps and forecasts into planning inputs.
  • Partner with Partner Network and Field Deployed Engineering teams on partner capacity and production placement.
  • Align with Finance on volume assumptions, cost models, and margin implications.
  • Communicate planning assumptions, risks, and tradeoffs to program leads and senior leadership.
