About The Position

S&P Global Ratings is hiring a Senior Analyst for its Structured Finance and Alternative Investment Funds team. The team evaluates credit risk in securitized products and fund structures by analyzing underlying asset performance, structural protections, cash-flow mechanics, and stress scenarios. Its credit opinions help issuers and investors compare complex instruments and understand performance trends and issuance conditions. The analyst leads end-to-end credit analysis and surveillance for assigned structured finance credits, delivering timely, high-quality work and decision-ready insights for rating committees and risk assessments. The role also supports team capability and productivity by coaching junior colleagues, developing reusable analytical resources, improving workflows, and contributing to automation and AI initiatives. Generative AI and large language model tools may be incorporated into analytical workflows, with human accountability retained for conclusions and material risk judgments. The analyst works with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to explain complex analysis in clear, evidence-based narratives. The role requires consistent application of methodologies, confidentiality and data-governance requirements, documentation of assumptions, and escalation of issues that could affect analytical integrity. Employees must work from an office at least two days per week. Candidates reaching the final interview stage must attend at least one in-person interview at their nearest S&P Global Ratings office before an offer can be extended. The position is listed for Chicago, Colorado, New York, or Toronto.
