About The Position

The Structured Finance Analytics (SFA) group develops and maintains quantitative rating methodologies, performs cash flow analytics on live transactions, conducts data analytics and strategy, and works on strategic projects across DBRS. The SFA Solutions team within SFA focuses on forging strong connections, enhancing efficiency, and elevating visibility to empower the Global Structured Finance (GSF) group. Their responsibilities include acting as a central point of contact for SFA, coordinating cross-team projects, managing project intake and prioritization for all GSF projects across various asset classes, providing analytical guidance for methodology development, liaising with the Methodology Review function, and serving as a cross-disciplinary knowledge base in analytics, credit, project management, and technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of project management experience, ideally in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or financial services environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects across platforms and the ability to manage internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficient in using project management tools like JIRA and Asana to manage complex projects effectively
  • Ability and interest to quickly learn nuances of Structured Finance asset classes
  • Proactive ownership mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) preferred.
  • Familiarity with credit ratings and structured finance
  • Understanding of both business and technical requirements, and the ability to serve as a conduit between technical and non-technical departments
  • Python or other relevant programming skills
  • Six Sigma, PMI Certification, or other formal project management and process improvement training is highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Manage the GSF Prioritization Process, working with a diverse stakeholder group to define vision, approach, and milestones for strategic methodology development, technology, and migration projects
  • Develop and manage timelines and project plans outlining deadlines, responsibilities and deliverables, and create business requirements when applicable
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to ensure transparency and alignment on project goals, progress, and outcomes
  • Support workflow oversight and business intelligence reporting for the SFA organization
  • Build relationships to help serve as a bridge for communications between teams across the organization
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation and manage stakeholder communications to keep all parties informed about project status and decisions
