About The Position

The Senior Enterprise PACS Analyst is responsible for in-depth knowledge of assigned Enterprise PACS systems and software, supporting over 15 applications. This role involves regular day-to-day communication, application monitoring and maintenance, and a deep understanding of clinical operations. The analyst will collaborate with vendors, project teams, clinical representatives/subject matter experts, and end-users to tailor the system to organizational needs. Responsibilities include in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues related to Enterprise PACS systems. The role also entails developing and documenting internal procedures for Radiology applications, and designing, building, testing, installing, training, and maintaining these solutions. Additionally, the Senior Enterprise PACS Analyst supports modality connectivity to the network and applications, as well as the installation of radiology applications and workstations. Critical thinking is essential for providing systems solutions to meet business needs, and for training and supporting junior analysts.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science.
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication and follow-up skills.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, problem solver.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience and BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the organizations Core Values and incorporate them into the performance of duties.

  • Work with Application Managers/Directors/etc. and the entire Project Team, to collect, analyze and document business operations and workflow.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and across teams to achieve the completion of tasks.
  • Troubleshoot problems and address questions from users, and provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Make recommendations, review and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.
  • Ensure the test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
  • Analyze data conversion needs.
  • Support the training team by keeping trainers abreast of new functionality and system changes.
  • Communicate effectively across all impacted teams associated with task assignments.
  • Analyze new functionality in new releases to identify impact.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of interface requirements and testing.
  • Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
  • Ensures all quality assurance processes are followed, including change management and testing efforts.
  • Actively participate and contribute in meetings, including supporting meeting facilitation.
  • Participate in disaster recovery measures.
  • Work with radiologists/technologists and operational users to support their workflows and troubleshoot issues.
  • Incorporate patient safety factors in clinical design.
  • Act as an application lead, responsible for working with vendors, colleagues and users to ensure application is performing as needed, and planning and participating in and leading maintenance and upgrade activities. Must be available to assist colleagues in troubleshooting application issues requiring escalation as needed, especially during off-hours.
  • Work with the Application Manager/Director in the assessment of projects for scoping and timelines.
