About The Position

This SkillBridge opportunity is with Raytheon. RTX is a provider of SkillBridge Fellowship opportunities for transitioning service members to gain an in-depth understanding of the aerospace and defense business from some of the most respected leaders and engineers in the industry. An excellent opportunity exists within the Tomahawk Advanced Programs Finance team. This program area is experiencing significant growth, projecting more than $100M in bookings over the next five years. This role provides the opportunity to support a dynamic portfolio while helping programs transition into full Earned Value Management (EVMS) reporting and execution. You will partner with Program Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), IPT Leads, Supply Chain, Engineering, and key functional leaders to provide financial insights and rigorous program controls. Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, guidance, and actionable recommendations to enable strategic decision-making and strong financial performance. This position requires on-site presence in Tucson AZ and a secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to participate in DoW Skillbridge.
  • Typically, will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and less than 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Must be eligible to participate in DoW SkillBridge.
  • Must be on Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
  • Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
  • Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EVMS, Program Controls, or cost/schedule integration
  • Experience with SAP, BW, for Project, or similar financial tools
  • Able to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated self-initiative and a positive, proactive mindset.
  • Knowledge of RTX financial and accounting policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis, EAC/LRE support, and maintain program logs.
  • Manage program controls, including BCRs, EVMS, and cost/schedule integration.
  • Deliver CDRLs, prepare reports, and support reviews.
  • Leverage tools like SAP/APEX and PMX for program management.
  • Collaborate across teams, support forecasts, and ensure effective financial communication.
