The Senior Analyst, Payroll & Benefits is the senior technical payroll role within RainCity’s HR Systems & Operations function. Reporting directly to the Director of HR, Systems and Operations, this is a non-supervisory role responsible primarily for end-to-end payroll, benefits, and pension administration for a defined employee portfolio, while also providing advanced expertise in complex payroll scenarios, payroll accounting, reconciliation, reporting, audit readiness, and system integrity. This role works closely with Finance, HR Operations, Labour Relations, managers, timekeepers, and external partners, while keeping employees as the primary client group served by the payroll function. The role is expected to provide clear, timely, and respectful support to employees, while also ensuring payroll accuracy, financial alignment, and compliance. RainCity operates across multiple collective agreements, excluded employee groups, and complex payroll and benefit rules, including the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP).
