About The Position
We are currently looking for an individual who is passionate about financial reporting and consolidation. The Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting and Consolidation will work closely with the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidation, and the team in reporting financial results for Sagard and for all reporting obligations to Power and other stakeholders. The Senior Analyst will have good knowledge of IFRS and have been exposed to consolidation, including consolidation elimination entries and multi-currency entities.
Requirements
- University degree and recognized accounting designation
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills
- For all positions in Quebec, proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory. English is required due to regular interaction with colleagues and external partners outside Quebec.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with large corporations or accounting firms (an asset)
- Experience with Sage Intacct and OneStream (an asset)
Responsibilities
- Load, validate, and reconcile financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the data in the consolidation system
- Prepare consolidation journal entries
- Prepare consolidated reporting of fund and management performance metrics and support the preparation of MD&A
- Ensure month-end and quarter-end close reporting activities are completed with accuracy and on time according to schedule
- Participate in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and note disclosure
- Support the monthly and quarterly accounting for corporate companies including posting journal entries, bank reconciliation, closing books, and preparing standalone financial statements
- Interact with the different platform finance teams and corporate finance team
- Participate in various special projects
- Prepare ad hoc analysis
