About The Position
Global Commercial Services (GCS) is seeking a first line of defense (1LOD) Senior Analyst, Control Management – Product Risk Assessments & Governance within the Risk ID, Assessment, Testing & Reporting team. This role is crucial for ensuring a robust first line of defense within GCS, actively supporting business growth, achieving objectives, and demonstrating an effective control framework. The primary objective is to identify, assess, mitigate, and report on Operational Risk within BU processes for GCS, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and Amex policy, and enhancing BU resilience through managing inherent and residual risk. The Senior Analyst will perform inherent risk assessments on new business initiatives and ensure risks are mitigated before launch, requiring extensive collaboration with partners across various business units, functional areas, and geographies.
Requirements
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple partners across business units, functional areas, and geographies.
- Understanding of operational risk management.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and company policies.
