About The Position

This role is responsible for leading the receiving and shipping of green coffee throughout the New Orleans supply chain. The Senior Analyst, Logistics will analyze and prioritize the green coffee transportation from wharves, railroads, and warehouses to deliver to the silo. This position is the owner for key inbound logistics systems and is accountable for their results, identifying root causes and countermeasures for any gaps. The role involves tracking KPIs to monitor the performance of 3rd party service companies, drayage carriers, and warehouses, intervening as necessary to ensure green coffee availability for blending needs. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will manage the WMS system for local drayage carriers, perform the customs role, and troubleshoot related issues. The position is also responsible for developing and implementing cost reduction and work process improvement projects using Operations Excellence tools and systems, improving and standardizing systems to deliver strong customer service results, and owning and managing the damage claim process for FOB Green Coffee purchases. This role requires collaboration with various internal departments and external partners.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management OR 3 years of supply chain management experience
Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and time management behaviors
Demonstrated capability in analyzing data/situations, problem solving and attention to detail
Collaborative approach: This role must effectively interface with multiple internal functions as well as external suppliers & transportation agents
Communication: Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite and Supply planning system

Responsibilities

Leading Receiving & Shipping Green Coffee Throughout the New Orleans Supply Chain

Lead the Process of Intaking Green Coffee at Local Warehouses and Various Yard Locations
