About The Position

ARCHIMED is a leading investment firm exclusively focused on healthcare, with offices in Europe, the US, and Asia. The firm manages $11 billion across its funds and has a strong track record of performance and impact investing. The Animal and Environmental Health team specifically invests in businesses that improve health outcomes across animal, environmental, and public health domains. The Senior Analyst will be an integral part of this team, supporting the entire investment lifecycle from origination to portfolio value creation. This role requires high ownership, commercial acumen, and intellectual curiosity, offering the opportunity to develop deep sector expertise and investing skills within a focused, performance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in private equity, M&A investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, or a related analytical role.
  • Ideally, experience with healthcare or life sciences exposure.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with demonstrated command of LBO and operating model construction, valuation, and returns analysis.
  • Sound commercial judgment and the ability to structure ambiguous problems, prioritize issues, and reach a clear point of view.
  • Intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in the life sciences tools and services landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into concise, credible output for a senior audience.
  • High ownership and attention to detail; takes accountability for accuracy and moves with pace under deadline pressure.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Higher education degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, or a life sciences discipline.
  • Strong academic record required.

  • Direct sector experience is a plus, not a prerequisite.
  • Familiarity with data and research platforms (Capital IQ, PitchBook, or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed operating models, LBO models, and returns analyses to evaluate new investments, add-on acquisitions, and portfolio scenarios.
  • Develop valuation frameworks (DCF, trading and transaction comparables) and assess capital structure, sources and uses, and sensitivity outcomes.
  • Translate diligence findings into clear, decision-ready outputs that frame the investment thesis, key risks, and the path to returns.
  • Run commercial, financial, and operational diligence workstreams in coordination with external advisors, deal counsel, and management teams.
  • Synthesize data rooms, expert calls, and third-party reports into concise findings.
  • Draft investment committee memoranda, management presentations, and term sheet inputs.
  • Map sub-sectors, identify attractive niches, and build the target pipeline for proactive origination.
  • Produce thematic and competitive research to anticipate structural shifts in end markets, technology, and the funding environment.
  • Track relevant deal activity, valuations, and comparable transactions.
  • Monitor portfolio company performance against plan, flagging trends and variances.
  • Support add-on M&A, including target screening, modeling, and integration analysis.
  • Prepare board materials, reporting packages, and ad hoc analyses.
