Data Science Research is responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining the algorithms & methodologies that fuel Circana’s core OmniMarket deliverables. This particular position is part of a team whose principal focus is enhancing existing solutions and developing new, innovative products.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in analytical field (Master’s degree a plus)
Experience with data mining/manipulation in SQL and Python (programming background a plus)
Conceptual knowledge of data science concepts and statistical methodologies
Curious and logical in the pursuit of identifying cause-and-effect relationships
Self-starting, critical thinker with a proactive disposition
Positive, team player with the capability to problem-solve independently
Clear, concise, and transparent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Define and lead customized research projects to develop and enhance Circana’s methodologies and algorithms
Analyze, interpret, and evaluate existing solutions in an effort to identify incremental improvement opportunities
Develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation across a multitude of platforms
Collaborate with Technology and Product Management to productionize and deploy solutions
Independently investigate and resolve production and client data issues
Provide accurate and timely data analysis and methodology support focused on internal and external client requests
Use SQL, Python, R to write, validate and maintain code to support research and data analyses
Document processes and procedures
Present research findings to internal clients
