About The Position

The MAGTF/Joint Fires Analyst reports to and receives work direction from the Corps Solutions MSTP Project Manager and the Senior Analyst Group Lead. This role involves conducting tactical and operational planning, assisting government counterparts in training and evaluation, performing Observer Trainer Collector (OTC) duties, and providing analytical support for exercise life cycles. The analyst will also prepare lesson plans, seminars, and provide instruction on Marine Corps and joint/combined doctrine to senior officers. Responsibilities include preparing research, reports, briefs, and documents, analyzing problems, and providing solutions. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the development and circulation of OPT planning tools, contributing to Final Exercise Reports, reviewing classified material, and contributing to doctrine publications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum three years of experience in military training and education.
  • Attendance at Intermediate Level School, such as Marine Corps CSC, or completion of equivalent nonresident course is required.
  • Minimum eight years of operational experience in deployment and employment of ground combat, aviation, supporting arms, or combat service support units, related equipment and C2 methods and systems.
  • Minimum five years of MEF level command element experience at the senior field grade equivalent level, including principal staff planning across multiple joint warfighting functions.
  • Minimum three years of demonstrated knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the operational command level.
  • Minimum two years of experience in use of C2 systems in planning and execution of surface and air delivered fires.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem-solving, prioritization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Proficient in the entire suite of MS Office and able to quickly learn additional systems.
  • Possess current U.S. government passport.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
  • A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Advanced ILS/TLS and attendance at SAW or NWC is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and C2PC is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Possess detailed and functional knowledge of the Marine Corps and joint/combined planning processes, Marine Corps and joint doctrine related to Fires, joint targeting process, joint Air Tasking Order process, joint Theater Air-Ground System and Marine Corps Aviation Command and Control System, and Fires C2 systems i.e. AFATDS, JADOCS.
  • Conduct tactical and operational planning at the conceptual, functional, and detailed levels for service and functional component and joint headquarters organizations related to Fires.
  • Assist government counterparts in the instruction and training of designated staffs in the Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and evaluation of operations orders produced by Training Audiences, including Warfighting Seminars and PPAs.
  • Perform Observer Trainer Collector (OTC) duties in support of MSTP exercises.
  • Provide analytical support for all phases on the MSTP Exercise Life Cycle.
  • Plan and prepare lesson plans and seminars and provide instruction and event analysis on Marine Corps and joint/combined doctrine to Field Grade and General Officers.
  • Prepare research, reports, briefs, and documents to support exercise scenario development and H&AHQ products, analyze problems, and provide solutions.
  • Assist government counterpart in the development and circulation of OPT planning tools, products and best practices to Training Audiences.
  • Provide input and assist Site Lead development of Final Exercise Reports.
  • Assist in reviewing classified material for use in exercise events, modeling and simulation, demonstrations, reports, and briefings.
  • Contribute to Marine Corps and joint doctrine, TTPs, FAARs, and best-practice publications.
