About The Position

Success Academy is a growing network of public charter schools in New York and Florida, dedicated to providing children with a rigorous, whole-child education. This role is for a high-performing, analytical, and collaborative leader to drive operational excellence through financial partnership. The Senior Analyst, FP&A will act as a key liaison between school leadership and the corporate office, using data to optimize performance and support strategic decision-making. This position is crucial in rebuilding and strengthening the Schooling side of the FP&A function, ensuring financial insights lead to operational improvements. The role offers exposure to all organizational levels, including senior management, requiring clear and precise communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-5 years of relevant financial planning & analysis experience
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and work in complex financial models
  • Solid understanding of financial statements
  • Takes ownership of accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
  • Highly detail-oriented, while also balancing the big picture view
  • Adapts quickly to changes and able to multitask with competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly and accurately convey messages to various audiences across the organization
  • Has a desire to work in a fast-paced environment and thrives on an ongoing feedback culture
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Slides

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance point of contact for school operations and network functions, fostering a culture of innovative and analytical collaboration.
  • Drive efficiencies across the organization by automating tasks and identifying opportunities for process improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Own the annual budgeting and monthly re-forecasting processes for Schools, including the development of complex financial models and dashboards.
  • Maintain and publish detailed reporting on school-level performance, including variance analysis (actuals vs. budget), KPI tracking, and trend analysis.
  • Lead meetings with senior management to deliver financial updates, drive fiscal responsibility, and provide ad hoc decision support to the CFO and CEO.
  • Train business partners on financial systems and budget management best practices to ensure consistency in data collection and execution.
