About The Position

Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter Communications, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform for the entire entertainment industry. The company consists of three primary lines of business: Xumo devices, Xumo Play, and Xumo Enterprise. Powered by Comcast’s global entertainment platform, Xumo devices feature a world-class user interface with universal voice search capabilities, making it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content. Xumo Play is a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service offering hundreds of linear channels and on-demand options. Xumo Enterprise provides tools and services for content creators, distributors, and advertisers to make FAST content more accessible. This job involves providing the senior leadership team with timely financial and operational analysis to facilitate sound business decisions. It focuses on strategic planning, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and consolidated financial reporting. The responsibilities of this position include delivering finance projects for strategic decision-making, identifying financial trends, and developing financial models. It may also focus on detailed economic assessments, strategic project impact analysis, and scenario analysis for financial planning guidance. This role will collaborate closely with Xumo business leaders to provide financial & operational analysis. Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years financial analysis experience, supporting a start-up type business with the ability to take ownership, adapt quickly & provide financial recommendations to support the business toward continued growth. Revenue-focused FP&A experience highly preferred. Advertising, media, streaming platform industry experience a plus. Position is office based in Philadelphia, PA- 4 days a week in office/1 day remote.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years financial analysis experience, supporting a start-up type business

Responsibilities

  • Providing budget, forecast, and variance analysis, offering insights and recommendations to improve financial management
  • Simplifying complex financial information, providing rationale behind reports and analyses for clear communication
  • Collaborating on special projects, offering financial expertise and analysis to drive project success
  • Conducting in-depth economic evaluations and business cases to inform strategic financial planning and portfolio decisions
  • Identifying emerging financial trends to integrate into strategic planning and inform decision-making
  • Partnering with internal finance teams to consolidate financial results
  • Partnering with business leaders to deliver on finance projects that support decision-making on strategic growth and operational effectiveness
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
