About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) identifies, models, and recommends ideas related to financial risks and opportunities across the business, working with the Finance Team and cross-functional partners. The role manages short- and long-term forecasts, understands the airline industry and JetBlue’s strategy in the competitive landscape, and communicates financial plans and concepts to JetBlue crewmembers, including members of the Executive Leadership Team. The position provides strategic guidance and decision support to cost center leaders, prepares financial materials for Executive Leadership and Board Members, and builds relationships with business stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial goals and results. It also handles ad hoc requests and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED plus at least four years of relevant work experience demonstrating the capability to perform the job responsibilities.
Three years of experience in financial modeling, working with financial systems, analytical reasoning, and presentations in a professional setting such as FP&A, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Investment Banking, or Consulting.
Ability to work alongside and communicate effectively with different groups and organizational levels across JetBlue.
Ability to drive results under tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Ability to multitask across a variety of projects, departments, and timelines.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Available for occasional overnight travel (15%).
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located; authorization to work in the US is required, and the position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
Able to maintain a professional appearance.

Promote safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, and behavioral standards.

Nice To Haves

Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or an appropriate postgraduate degree or license.
Experience querying large datasets using Structured Query Language (SQL) and using analytical tools such as Tableau.
Effective communication across varied channels and groups, including Executive Leadership.
Advanced forecasting and modeling capabilities and financial systems expertise.

Responsibilities

Drive short- and long-term departmental operating forecasts, ensuring forecasts are accurate and communicated to department leadership.
Collaborate with Managers and above to provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to cost center leaders through financial analysis, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Prepare materials for Executive Leadership and Board Members, including the annual operating plan, quarterly earnings, and monthly business reviews.
Build and maintain strong relationships with the business, communicating effectively to keep key stakeholders informed and aligned on financial goals and results.
Fulfill and manage ad hoc requests, including complex analysis requested by Senior Management and projects requiring cross-functional coordination.
Perform other duties as assigned.
