About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Financial Account Management is responsible for managing a designated portfolio of franchisee accounts and driving the timely collection of outstanding receivables while supporting the long-term health of franchise relationships. This role owns the collections strategy for assigned accounts, identifies and manages financial risk, and recommends appropriate escalation actions, including payment arrangements, defaults, reservation suspensions, settlements, and franchise termination. The Senior Analyst serves as a key point of contact between Finance and internal business partners, including Franchise Sales, Operations, and Legal. Success in this role requires strong financial and analytical skills, sound business judgment, effective negotiation capabilities, and the ability to influence both franchisees and internal stakeholders. The Senior Analyst must balance the company’s financial interests with broader business considerations and franchise relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial collections, accounts receivable, credit, financial operations, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience independently managing a portfolio of complex customer or business accounts.
• Experience negotiating payment arrangements and resolving complex financial disputes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess financial risk and develop appropriate recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills, including the ability to navigate difficult conversations and competing stakeholder priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage a high-volume portfolio and competing priorities.
• Proficiency with office software; intermediate+ Excel skills required.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud or similar ERP systems and/or Salesforce
• Knowledge of franchise agreements and franchise financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned territory and portfolio of franchisee accounts, with end-to-end accountability for collection activity and portfolio performance.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances, aging, payment trends, and other indicators to proactively identify delinquency and financial risk.
• Develop and execute account-specific collection strategies based on the franchisee’s financial position, payment history, operational circumstances, and overall relationship with the company.
• Establish appropriate contact strategies and maintain consistent communication with franchisees regarding outstanding balances and payment obligations.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and other solutions within established policies and authority levels.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of collection activities, commitments, disputes, and account status.
• Evaluate delinquent and high-risk franchisee accounts and determine appropriate next steps within established policies and delegated authority.
• Prepare recommendations for payment settlements, defaults, reservation suspensions, and other collection or enforcement actions.
• Develop well-supported recommendations for franchise termination when collection efforts and other remedies have been exhausted.
• Escalate complex or high-risk situations to Financial Account Management leadership and other appropriate stakeholders.
• Ensure recommendations consider outstanding receivables, contractual obligations, franchisee circumstances, operational impact, and the broader business relationship.
• Partner with Legal to support default, enforcement, and termination processes and ensure required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Identify emerging portfolio risks and escalate significant trends or exposures to leadership.
• Build productive relationships with franchise owners and operators while maintaining appropriate financial accountability.
• Navigate difficult financial conversations professionally and effectively, including disputes, payment negotiations, defaults, and potential suspensions.
• Seek solutions that maximize recovery while appropriately considering the long-term value and viability of the franchise relationship.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource to franchisees regarding account balances, payment obligations, and collection processes.
• Develop strong working relationships with Franchise Sales, Franchise Operations, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
• Proactively communicate with business partners regarding significant delinquency, financial risk, and proposed collection actions within the assigned territory.
• Incorporate relevant operational and relationship considerations into account strategies while maintaining appropriate financial controls and collection discipline.
• Build stakeholder alignment and obtain cross-functional support for collection actions, particularly defaults, reservation suspensions, settlements, and termination recommendations.
• Partner with Franchise Sales and Operations to understand the broader franchisee relationship and identify solutions that protect both company financial interests and strategically important franchise relationships.
• Serve as a subject matter resource on collection matters for internal business partners.
• Analyze portfolio performance, aging, delinquency trends, and collection results to identify risks and opportunities.
• Provide management with clear reporting and insights regarding significant accounts, emerging risks, and anticipated collection outcomes.
• Identify recurring issues contributing to franchisee delinquency and partner with stakeholders to address root causes.
• Recommend improvements to collection processes, policies, reporting, and systems.
• Share best practices and provide guidance to less experienced team members as appropriate.
