About The Position

Provides analytical support to the Contracting and Payor Relations department, responsible for the negotiation and management of facility, professional, and ancillary third-party payor contracts between Seattle Children's Healthcare System (SCHS) and health plans, Medicaid agencies, and other payors, with combined revenue totaling more than $4B annually. Responsible for the development and analysis of reimbursement models, the implementation and maintenance of contracted rates in SCHS systems, review and analysis of federal and state funding changes, and the creation of internal reports and dashboards. The Senior Analyst also supports department leadership by designing tools, reports, and presentations needed to make business decisions and reach department goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in hospital, physician group, or health plan analytics, including but not limited to contract rate modeling, financial analysis to support business decisions, and dashboard development.
  • Demonstrated understanding of health care reimbursement methodologies.
  • Experience with relational database concepts and query tools.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, MHA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with EPIC and Experian systems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, SQL, Tableau (or other dashbording software).
  • Experience maintaining expected reimbursement in contract management systems (e.g., EPIC, Experian).
  • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, facility revenue codes and healthcare claims data; experience with billing/payment systems.
