About The Position

Manages the negotiation of assigned facility, professional, and ancillary third-party payor contracts between Seattle Children's Healthcare System (SCHS) and health plans, Medicaid agencies, and other payors, with combined revenue totaling more than $4B annually. Performs advanced contract editing and drafting, develops rate proposals, and represents Seattle Children's Hospital in negotiations with payors and state agencies. Acts as the primary liaison with other departments concerning assigned contracts and is responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with payors, agencies, and internal customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an associate degree or certificate in paralegal studies, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare contracting, including but not limited to hospital, physician group, health plan, or state agency contracting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in value-based care contracting.
  • Experience or knowledge of Washington State Healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience as the primary lead in hospital, physician group, and ancillary contract negotiations.
