About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a VP, Payor Relations to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! The VP, Payor Relations is responsible for the strategic development and oversight of payor relationships, credentialing and licensing across the Company’s affiliated organizations.  This role collaborates with Executive and Market leaders to develop and implement payor strategies and activities to increase revenue and improve the patient experience.  The VP, Payor Relations is also responsible for the management and leadership of the payor relations and credentialing teams.  This role is remote, working M-F with less than 25% travel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, management, finance, accounting, or a related, relevant and applicable field
  • Ten (10) years’ of demonstrated success in healthcare management or in the managed care industry
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in contractual, administrative, health insurance and operational issues related to payors, managed care organizations, physician groups, hospitals and health insurance benefit plan design
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel modeling and in developing Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or similar presentation materials
  • Some travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or in Healthcare Administration (MHA)

Responsibilities

  • Payor Strategy Development and Oversight
  • Oversee the development, negotiation, implementation, monitoring and management of a comprehensive, market based national payor strategy
  • Ensure alignment of payor programs with the company’s strategic business initiatives
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and recommend strategic parameters and reimbursement methodologies relevant to our service lines to improve revenue and market position
  • Facilitate the development and promotion of the Company’s value proposition to payors
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs’) to influence sound decision making ability
  • Direct and oversee the review and analysis of contract proposals and renewals, key operating terms, contracting alternatives, reimbursement trends, and other payor related activities
  • Establish and monitor national and market-specific payor metrics
  • Team Leadership
  • Define job and strategic priorities of team members who directly report to this role.
  • Facilitates and participates in hiring and onboarding of new team members
  • Initiate and participate in team member development, including coaching, performance evaluations, career path, compensation recommendations, performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and/or terminations
  • Proactively schedule and lead regular team meetings and team member 1:1s.
  • Proactively ensure the payor team members function as a team
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA Guidelines, new payor contracts, recredentialing, and revenue cycle management (RCM) policies and procedures
  • Completes Other Duties and Projects as Assigned
