About The Position

Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Clinical Informatics to join our team! This role supports a broad portfolio of clinical systems, with imaging applications representing a portion of assigned responsibilities. The Senior Analyst, Clinical Systems implements strategies focused on the adoption, support, and optimization of clinical information systems with a goal of enhancing workflows, data integrity, and content that lead to increased safety, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care across LifePoint settings.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse.
Minimum 5 years’ clinical systems, healthcare IT, or related technical experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Business Mathematical Skills -- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
Moderate Computer Skills -- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
Varied Business Problems -- Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedent, and practices.
Department Specific -- Decisions impact the management and operations within a department. May contribute to business, and operational decisions that affect the department.
Functional Independent Judgement -- Provides and sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions for and/or resolves problems for others.
Project Planning/Organization -- Handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegation, project oversight, and resource allocation.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Experience supporting imaging or ancillary clinical applications preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the MedHost Clinical Systems Director and team to provide clinical systems expertise and assistance as needed to successfully implement patient data automation and support systems through the full system life cycle.
Serve as 24 hour, 7 day a week support for assigned clinical information systems, including workflow, documentation, scheduling, and ancillary applications, as assigned.
Assist with change management efforts around the implementation and optimization of clinical systems, including imaging-related applications, through the development, design and execution of change management and enhancement processes.
Provide system expertise and assistance to implement and/or upgrade clinical systems across care settings, including Radiology/Imaging applications as assigned.
Manage support issues reported by facility staff via service now system and work with vendor to ensure root cause is identified and solutions are found.
Assist with changes to the system as assigned, including the creation of training/educational documents around those changes in the system.
Support facilities with education and training as needed for success as delegated by the team manager.
Assist with on-going training and education to enhance user experience and adoption.
Communicate with clinicians, physicians, leaders, radiology staff, and other stakeholders to develop realistic expectations and execute strategies that prepare staff for the adoption of electronic clinical systems.
Collaborate with facility leadership and clinicians to ensure clinical processes and workflows are supported by the electronic solutions.
Collaborate with other groups in Health Informatics & Technology Services (HITS) and at the Health SupportCenter (HSC) to assure clinical processes and workflows are supported by the electronic solutions and offers strategies and support to remove barriers to adoption.
Collaborate and work with facilities as assigned to implement and support clinical systems and their functionality, including imaging-related solutions where applicable.
Responsible for tracking and trending issues across facilities to ensure that they are escalated to resolution.
