About The Position

We are looking for a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to join our growing and transforming team. This is a challenging position that requires a strong background in ERP systems and supporting business processes. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on subject matter expert that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The job requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail so that requests are handled in a uniform manner, issues are properly documented, and projects are delivered on time. The successful candidate is very motivated and willing to take on challenges, able to multi-task and can work independently with minimal oversight. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst will serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, partnering closely with Accounting, Finance, and Engineering, to gather requirements that ensure our financial systems can scale to meet growing business needs. The systems analyst will troubleshoot issues, analyze operational procedures, develop business process solutions, prepare process flowcharts, and make database configurations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or information technology or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years as a Business or Systems Analyst, gathering requirements and supporting finance or technology teams.
  • 5+ years Oracle Financial Applications (Cloud or EBS) is required. Oracle Fusion Cloud is preferred.
  • Deep ERP module experience
  • Experience working with agile delivery frameworks, especially creating user stories for non-technical end users.
  • Ability to perform basic to moderate queries in SQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BI Publisher, OBIEE, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Snowflake, Sigma, is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP integrations is a plus.
  • Public company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help define the technology roadmap for our financial systems.
  • Lead product/project discovery, solution definition, requirement elicitation sessions, and walkthroughs.
  • Make recommendations for solutions, or improvements, to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud (Fusion) Financials modules including Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, providing guidance and support to business stakeholders. Oracle Supply Chain and Human Capital Management experience is a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, create functional specifications, and design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Perform gap analysis, identify process improvements, and provide recommendations to address discrepancies between business requirements and system capabilities.
  • Produce timely and high-quality work product requirements including specifications, process flows, mock-ups, and wireframes.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, conduct system testing, and facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure system integrity and accuracy.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues.
  • Provide root cause analysis to resolve system issues.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
  • Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes, and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance and support of test and production environments of all financial systems.
  • Configure and maintain ledgers in Oracle Fusion Cloud (primary, secondary, and reporting currency ledgers).
  • Set up and manage financial structures including chart of accounts, legal entities, business units, and calendars.
  • Support quarterly patch testing, regression testing, and validation of system changes.
  • Manage security configurations, including role-based access and segregation of duties for finance users.
  • Assist in system updates, journal bookings and postings, data loads using ADFDI, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Support month-end close activities and ensure financial system readiness
  • Ensure compliance of SOX and ITGC with proper documentation.
