About The Position

The Senior Algorithm/AI Engineer designs, develops, and optimizes advanced algorithms and AI models to solve complex business challenges. The role drives technical innovation, provides expert guidance to project teams, and ensures solutions align with business objectives and ethical standards. The engineer collaborates across data engineering, product, and business teams to deliver scalable AI solutions, while ensuring model quality, performance, fairness, compliance, and clear technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in algorithm development, machine learning, or AI engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering successful AI/ML solutions in a production environment.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, R, Java, or C++.
• Proficiency with machine learning and AI libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with data pipelines, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and MLOps practices.
• Strong background in statistics, mathematics, and algorithmic problem-solving.
• Critical thinking and analytical mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Collaboration and influencing skills across diverse teams.

Nice To Haves

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience in the technology, information, or media sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of machine learning, deep learning, and traditional algorithms for business-critical applications.
• Monitor AI/ML advancements and evaluate and integrate emerging techniques.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and best practices across teams.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with data engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Oversee data preparation, feature engineering, and data quality processes.
• Establish and execute testing, validation, and monitoring protocols to ensure model accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
• Maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation and ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standards, including explainability and bias mitigation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and enhance system performance.
