Requirements

  • 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience in a role developing, leading, and executing projects and utilizing project processes / skills
  • Able to travel 10% of the time
  • To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and communicates the vision, strategy, principles, and objectives for the future-state certification and airworthiness ecosystem.
  • Owns and evolves the business architecture for certification systems, including capabilities, operational value streams, process models, and integrated data models.
  • Applies model-based methods to enable traceability from regulatory requirements and means of compliance through design, verification, substantiation, findings, and certification outcomes.
  • Leads functional analysis of regulatory, certification, operational, and business needs and translate them into architectural requirements and solution guidance.
  • Provides oversight and validation of solution and capability roadmaps to ensure alignment with functional intent, enterprise standards, and digital transformation goals.
  • Identifies architectural gaps, integration needs, and certification system deficiencies, and recommend targeted improvement actions.
  • Supports governance, standards, methods, and conventions for cross-functional integration, simplification, and reuse.
  • Partners with IT and digital teams to ensure tools, workflows, and information solutions support airworthiness and regulatory compliance objectives.
  • Collaborates with regulators, engineering, systems engineering, compliance, and enterprise architecture stakeholders on strategic initiatives and certification approaches.
  • Coaches and mentors teams on business architecture, model-based practices, traceability, and certification system integration.
