The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Airport Equipment Mechanic position. This position provides work direction and training to skilled and semi-skilled employees on a day-to-day basis and performs journey-level mechanical work throughout Harry Reid International Airport that supports airport operations, including the maintenance and repair of highly complex luggage movement systems. Additionally, this position performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem diagnosis. This recruitment may be used to hire for various groups within the Facilities division, including but not limited to, Airport Equipment Systems (AES) and/or Baggage Handling System (BHS). If assigned to BHS, the Senior Airport Equipment Mechanic will concentrate on the highly complex luggage movement system and must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and diagnose problems across multiple systems. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility List to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Employee Services.
