About The Position

This position is for an Air-to-Air Modeling & Simulation Analyst within the Air Combat and Strike Mission Analysis Group. The role involves analyzing the effectiveness and employment of airborne systems in complex environments using tools like AFSIM. The analyst will develop, evaluate, and analyze tactics and concepts of employment for advanced technologies including air platforms, sensors, countermeasures, weapons, and manned-unmanned vehicles. The position offers opportunities to present work to technical specialists and decision-makers, engage in independent research, and collaborate with a team of analysts and senior engineers. The environment is described as engaging and collegiate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related area.
  • Demonstrated excellence in conducting mission-level modeling, simulation, & analysis in the air-to-air domain with tools such as AFSIM or Brawler.
  • Skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, rapidly learning new and exciting concepts.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills with any of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or JAVA.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment and communicate sophisticated ideas directly with government civilians, military officers, and other contractors.
  • Able to obtain the associated required Special Access Program (SAP) level access.
  • Able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the effectiveness and employment of airborne systems operating in complex environments using tools such as AFSIM.
  • Develop, evaluate, and analyze tactics and concepts of employment for ground breaking technologies such as air platforms, sensors, countermeasures, and weapons including manned-unmanned vehicles.
  • Work with a team of analysts who will benefit from your experience, and senior engineers with whom you will guide the direction of analysis.
  • Present your work through briefings to both technical specialists and pivotal decision makers.
  • Engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and reward independent initiative.
