Senior Air Quality Professional
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Environmental team is looking for an experienced Senior Air Quality Professional to join their team in the South Division. The primary role of this position is to provide environmental and engineering technical support for various aspects of air quality compliance programs including: preparation of emission inventories, permit application development, regulatory review, compliance recordkeeping, and greenhouse gas reporting. The applicant should have strong technical experience with air quality analyses and also have experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate would also have experience mentoring junior level staff on technical work. This position will be expected to communicate with clients. The applicant may also provide multi-media environmental compliance support to industrial, transportation, energy and other clients, to include: stormwater permitting, SPCC plan development, waste management support, compliance auditing, and industrial hygiene support. Additional activities may include site assessment and groundwater remediation support. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Federal and various State air quality regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or related
- 10+ years of related experience
- Years of experience in Air Quality compliance
- Emission calculations
- Minor source permitting
- Proficient with air emissions software such as E&P Tanks and GRI GlyCalc
- Air quality regulations applicability determinations
- Demonstrated expertise with environmental regulatory requirements in the southeastern United States
- Proficient at communicating with clients and public
- Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word and Excel
- Strong experience with writing and communicating technical material
- Working knowledge of Federal and various State air quality regulations
