About The Position

This role is for a Senior AI Product Manager to own the Data Platform & Ontologies within Red Ventures’ Growth and Transformation team (RVGT). This team is responsible for Kamino, RVGT’s unified, governed agentic platform that serves as the foundation for all RV businesses building production AI workflows. RVGT partners with major brands in financial services, home services, and higher education to drive growth and transformation. The Product Manager will own Proteus, the ontology, retrieval, and entity-resolution layer, as well as Data Ingestion, which includes pipelines, connectors, and contracts for data integration. The role also involves owning data-platform components of Red Platform, RV’s data and test-optimization platform. The company emphasizes data security and governance, with features like partner-data isolation, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop gating built into the system. The ideal candidate is driven by curiosity and a deep sense of ownership, proactively learning and improving the Data Platform & Ontologies.

Requirements

6+ years as a data-product or ML-product PM.
Shipped a retrieval, RAG, search, or knowledge-graph product at scale.
Fluent in ontology design and retrieval evaluation (precision/recall, MRR, faithfulness).
Owned or worked closely on data ingestion (schemas, contracts, lineage, freshness, and data quality) alongside data engineering or data science.
Fluent reasoning about HITL gating, identity propagation, audit trails, partner-data isolation, and SOC2 controls.
Demonstrates curiosity and ownership, chasing down ambiguous edges and taking problems to resolution.
Execution mindset: Prefers prototyping and measuring over writing specs; measures everything and uses feedback loops to optimize product offerings.
Able to earn trust and coordinate amongst engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and business counterparts.

Nice To Haves

Background in semantic search, knowledge graphs, or vector databases.
Experience building a labeled-data feedback flywheel.
FinServ data-handling experience (PII, GLBA).
Background as a software engineer, data scientist, or data engineer before moving into product.

Responsibilities

Own the Data & Context Layer: Drive ontology, retrieval, and entity-resolution quality so every agent built on Kamino starts with the right business context, with retrieval precision and recall gated in CI.
Architect Reliable, Governed Ingestion: Design the pipelines, connectors, and data contracts (schema, freshness, lineage, and quality SLAs) that get partner and internal data into Proteus safely and within SOC2, PII, and GLBA constraints.
Close the Data Flywheel: Make agent corrections and human overrides demonstrably improve next-run retrieval by analyzing data and translating insights into product bets.
Extend Impact to Red Platform: Deeply understand Red Platform’s data and contract surfaces and act as a systems-thinking partner to the Red Platform EM as the two platforms converge.
Mentor & Influence: Manage and develop junior AI Product Managers and serve as the day-to-day lead on a strategic, high-visibility initiative for senior stakeholders.
