About The Position

G2 is seeking a Senior AI Product Builder to join a new, innovative product function focused on leveraging AI to streamline the product development lifecycle. This role involves working closely with product, design, and engineering teams to take ownership of product areas, define user experiences, and directly build solutions based on customer feedback. The position requires a high degree of independence, the ability to interpret open-ended problems, and confidence in making product and design decisions without a rigid plan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping products to external users, integrating AI naturally into their workflow, and a strong understanding of how to translate AI capabilities into user-friendly and trustworthy product experiences.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience spanning product management, software engineering, and/or product design, with demonstrated strength across at least two of these areas.
• Proven track record building and shipping AI-powered products (e.g., LLM integrations, AI workflows, agent-based features).
• Hands-on experience building with AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude Caude, Lovable, or equivalents.
• Strong engineering foundation, including the ability to read and write code, understand system design tradeoffs, and collaborate effectively with engineers.
• Ability to own a product end-to-end, from problem definition through launch and iteration, with minimal process scaffolding.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
• Demonstrated ability to move quickly.
• Clear passion for G2’s mission and a perspective on the future of B2B software discovery.
• High-energy, low-ego attitude, prioritizing outcomes over personal credit.
• BS/BA in a related field.

• Experience in B2B SaaS.
• Familiarity with the software buying/selling space.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and strategy by translating customer insights into testable product hypotheses and roadmaps.
• Balance user needs, business outcomes, and technical feasibility independently.
• Work fluidly across product management, engineering, and design without traditional handoffs.
• Write production code, prototype in low-code/AI environments, or collaborate closely with engineering partners.
• Utilize AI coding tools effectively to ensure fast and high-quality product development.
• Design AI-powered experiences, understanding the behavior of LLMs, agents, and AI workflows.
• Translate AI behavior into useful and trustworthy product experiences.
• Differentiate between AI as a feature versus AI as a foundational element.
• Engage with customers and users to gather insights and conduct discovery.
• Rapidly move from customer conversations to working prototypes.
• Operate independently while enhancing the capabilities of those around you.
• Communicate clearly with executives, engineers, and go-to-market teams.
• Align stakeholders effectively without losing development momentum.
