This is a US-based, onshore role central to the AI Council's initiatives and the firm's overall technology strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in product management, technology, operations, or consulting, with experience owning multi-stakeholder initiatives end-to-end.
  • At least 2-3 of those years working on (internal or external facing) SaaS products.
  • Strong product management fundamentals: roadmapping, backlog ownership, sprint planning, acceptance testing, and release coordination.
  • Familiarity with generative-AI tools and platforms, including hands-on prompting and testing of AI APIs.
  • Ability to quickly learn new domains and translate complex workflows into product requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey technical concepts to professionals and executives.
  • Experience coordinating software development resources, including offshore or contract developers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in public accounting or professional services.
  • Exposure to agentic AI workflows, RAG architectures, or LLM integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform).
  • Familiarity with relevant domain software ecosystems (e.g., for tax: CCH Axcess, GoSystems, TaxCaddy).

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for assigned AI platforms across various Aprio business lines.
  • Translate complex domain and practice requirements into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
  • Lead the full development lifecycle — scoping, sprint planning, QA, and rollout — coordinating onshore and offshore development resources.
  • Work closely with Engineering, tax accountants, and other cross functions to deliver and improve the platforms.
  • Prioritize features and balance near-term delivery with long-term platform scalability and maintainability.
  • Run structured requirements-gathering sessions with subject matter experts across the relevant practice or business area.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to practitioners and firm leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned platforms, owning outcomes with transparency.
  • Apply generative-AI capabilities relevant to professional services — LLMs, document intelligence, agentic workflows, and structured output generation.
  • Test and validate AI models, APIs, and tooling (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI) for integration into Aprio's platforms.
  • Support responsible AI practices, including data privacy, data residency, and client confidentiality considerations (e.g., §7216 consent where applicable).
