About The Position

MANTECH International Corporation is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented AI Developer to join a team delivering technology solutions for national security and government clients. The role involves hands-on AI and machine-learning development, collaboration with customers and internal teams, and delivering production-ready solutions. It is fully remote, with occasional client-site travel possible. The developer works across the full solution lifecycle: understanding customer analytical needs, eliciting requirements, designing and implementing AI applications, administering AI/ML tools, and adapting and deploying machine-learning and large language model solutions. The role also focuses on optimizing production models for scalability, latency, and accuracy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 5 years of experience with Python and common machine-learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
At least 2 years of experience installing, configuring, and using AI/ML tools, such as Flowise, NiFi, and large language models.
At least 2 years of experience performing data engineering tasks, such as ETL, data cleansing, and data wrangling.
Experience performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) and interpreting results to share with stakeholders and solicit feedback.
Experience building, training, testing, and deploying machine-learning models.
Experience integrating chatbots with enterprise systems.
Experience with advanced prompting techniques, such as Chain-of-Thought, Few-Shot, and ReAct, and systematic evaluation frameworks to reduce hallucinations and improve output reliability.
Experience evaluating LLM responses.
Experience developing and integrating LLM solutions with front-end applications.
Experience working with popular cloud platforms, including Azure, Web Services, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
Experience providing services to public-sector clients.
U.S. citizenship and an active Secret-level clearance.
Ability to travel 10% or less.

Responsibilities

Interview customers to understand and document current-state data analytical needs and how AI solutions can address them.
Elicit requirements and develop technical designs and specifications for new AI solutions.
Install, configure, test, administer, and document AI/ML tools used in the AI environment.
Design and train machine-learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow and scikit-learn for predictive analytics and automation.
Design AI applications using modern AI frameworks and language models, adapting LLMs through prompt engineering and fine-tuning.
Manage the full solution lifecycle, from addressing complex data analytical needs to shipping production-ready applications.
Optimize models for scalability, latency, and accuracy in production environments.
