About The Position

We are seeking a Senior AI Developer to drive AI‑enabled software engineering practices while designing, building, and modernizing large‑scale, cloud‑native enterprise systems. This role requires a Senior‑level engineer who actively leverages Generative AI coding assistants across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and applies strong engineering judgment to ensure correctness, security, and performance in high‑availability, regulated environments. The position combines advanced Java and cloud development expertise with hands‑on AI/ML implementation and system modernization experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
2+ years of hands‑on AI/ML implementation in production environments
6+ years of cloud, microservices, and CI/CD experience
Hands‑on, production use of GenAI coding assistants across the SDLC: Code generation and refactoring, Unit and integration test generation, Regression support and defect remediation, Code review assistance, Scripting, automation, and technical documentation
Practical experience with GitHub Copilot and/or Claude Code in IDE and CLI workflows
Working knowledge of: Agentic workflows, Prompt engineering and custom AI instructions, Spec‑driven development for AI‑assisted delivery
Hands‑on experience with Large Language Models such as GPT‑5, Claude, Gemini, or PaLM
Strong validation, security, and quality controls for AI‑generated outputs
Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Framework
Architecture: RESTful web services, microservices, distributed systems
Scalability & Reliability: High‑volume transaction processing, fault tolerance, resiliency patterns
Containers and container orchestration
CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery models
Cloud platforms: Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and/or AWS or GCP
Infrastructure‑aware development and deployment practices
Experience with databases such as: MongoDB, Aerospike, PostgreSQL
Experience modernizing legacy platforms, including: Mainframe (Cobol/DB2) to Java‑based distributed systems, Monolithic architectures to microservices and cloud platforms
Understanding of data migration, service decomposition, and backward compatibility strategies
Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing strategies
QA automation and quality‑first engineering mindset
Agile development methodologies
Proficiency in: Architectural and design documentation, Visio diagrams, functional and technical specifications
Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
Understanding of broker‑dealer or financial services systems and operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with architects, product, and platform teams
Bias for action and execution in complex technical environments

Responsibilities

Expert, daily use of GenAI coding assistants to accelerate development, testing, refactoring, automation, and documentation with full ownership of output quality.
Design and development of high‑throughput, highly available Java/Spring microservices in cloud environments.
Migration of legacy, monolithic systems to distributed, cloud‑native architectures.
Translating low‑level designs (APIs, data models, class diagrams) into structured specifications that guide AI‑assisted implementation.
Ability to lead engineers, influence architecture decisions, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
