About The Position

Most AEC firms know AI matters, but almost none of them know what to do about it. They have run a pilot, bought a tool, maybe sat through a workshop, and nothing about how the team actually works has changed. KPR Transform closes this gap, and the Senior AI Consultant is the person who closes it. This role owns client engagements end to end: running discovery, building strategy, shipping the workflow, and staying until it is actually how the team runs, not just what the deck said would happen. The consultant will sit with a firm's leadership one day and its project teams the next, requiring credibility with both. While commercial ownership sits with the Managing Director, the consultant owns the substance: the diagnosis, the roadmap, the build, and the outcome.

Requirements

8+ years of experience leading client-facing strategy, advisory, or transformation engagements.
A specific story about a workflow you changed, including the 'what', 'why', and 'result'.
Daily, hands-on use of modern AI tools; experience building with these tools.
Executive presence to engage effectively with AEC leadership and technical teams.
A bias to ship and the independence to run an engagement autonomously.
AEC experience, including working inside or directly with AEC firms, owners, developers, or owner's reps, with knowledge of project delivery and technology value.

Nice To Haves

Time at a top-tier consulting firm or in a forward-deployed, embedded delivery model.
Fluency with AEC technology such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM/VDC, cost and scheduling systems.
Prior experience building a practice or service line from an early stage.
An existing public voice in AEC or AI.

Responsibilities

Lead engagements from start to finish.
Run AI diagnostics and technology assessments to understand how work actually happens.
Build transformation roadmaps and board-ready business cases.
Partner with technical teams to build workflows, tools, or systems and ensure adoption.
Design and deliver executive workshops for AEC leadership teams.
Turn every engagement into a documented outcome.
Travel to client sites as needed (up to 75%).
Support the Managing Director on scoping and proposing new engagements.
Spot opportunities to expand client services.
Write and speak publicly on AI in AEC.
Contribute learnings back into KPRCo's methodology and frameworks.
