Senior AI/AML Engineer, Vice President
About The Position
Citi Wealth is seeking a highly experienced, hands-on senior engineer to build enterprise-grade generative AI and agent-based solutions. The role designs, implements, and scales LLM-powered systems using modern agent frameworks, including ADK (Agent Development Kit), while ensuring compliance with risk, governance, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate combines deep AI engineering expertise with an understanding of financial services, AML, and enterprise controls, and partners across Technology, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams. The position leads AI solutions from concept through production deployment, provides technical leadership and mentorship, and drives engineering standards and reusable frameworks. It also focuses on guardrails, integration, observability, monitoring, and performance optimization for production AI systems.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering and more than 6 years of overall engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and backend development.
- Hands-on experience with ADK (Agent Development Kit) for building and orchestrating agents.
- Hands-on experience with LangChain or similar LLM frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with LLM and generative AI systems, including RAG, agents, and tool chaining.
- Proven experience delivering production-grade systems in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of API integration, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Experience working in regulated industries; financial services is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building multi-agent systems with ADK or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with LLM platforms such as Gemini, OpenAI, or Vertex AI.
- Knowledge of AML systems, financial crime detection, or compliance workflows.
- Experience implementing AI guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and observability tools.
- Exposure to real-time AI systems, including voice, streaming, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop LLM-powered applications and agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain and ADK.
- Build and manage multi-agent orchestration, tool chaining, and workflow automation.
- Develop input and output guardrails to ensure safe and compliant AI behavior.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise APIs, data platforms, and internal systems.
- Design real-time and asynchronous AI pipelines, including REST APIs, streaming, and WebSockets.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Model Governance teams to support MRM validation and approvals.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI solutions from concept through production deployment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Drive best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks for AI engineering.
- Ensure observability, monitoring, and performance optimization of AI systems.
