About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Software Engineer to join the team in delivering a customer-facing product to a widespread user base in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you won't just write code behind closed doors; you will be the face of the technical effort. You will directly interact with customers, lead live product demonstrations, and participate in daily Scrum meetings to transparently communicate project progress. You will utilize Jira to manage ticket workflows, ensure continuous delivery, and actively contribute to modernizing mission-critical capabilities, including Report Authoring & Dissemination (RAD) and integration with PULSE / ABACUS systems. Requirements

ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
Hands-on professional software development experience with Java (preferably Java 21 or greater)
Demonstrated experience building Docker images, maintaining container environments, and proactively managing container security vulnerabilities
Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks, with a strong preference for Vue.js
Applied experience utilizing Jira to create, track, manage, and monitor technical tickets through the software development lifecycle
Proven ability to engage directly with customers, lead product demonstrations, and articulate technical progress during daily Scrum meetings
Working knowledge of PULSE / ABACUS and an understanding of modernization efforts involving Report Authoring & Dissemination (RAD)
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 14 + years of professional software development experience OR High School Diploma / GED , PLUS 18+ years of hands-on technical software engineering experience in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

Experience building, deploying, and publishing Spring Boot RESTful APIs
Experience with eVo environments, including integrating with Greybox, Mockito, or other low-side development methodologies designed to bridge high-side infrastructure
Proficiency with Bash scripting, Linux tools, and command-line environments
