About The Position

Excel Sports Management is seeking a Senior Agent, Speakers to be responsible for selling the Excel roster of talent to a wide range of organizations for events and conferences, both in-person and virtual. This is a senior sales-focused role requiring extensive knowledge of the speaker business sales landscape and experience working with talent. The position can be based in Excel's NY, Miami, Chicago, or Los Angeles office, with remote options available for the right candidate.

Requirements

Proven experience in speaker industry with at least 10 years of sales experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong understanding of the sales process and how to manage client relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Sales and Negotiation a must.
Client Relationship Management (Salesforce).

Understanding of event planning and logistics process is a plus.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify and pursue new speaker opportunities.
Join Excel with an existing book of business while building on new book of sales business.
Recruit new potential speaker clients, alongside Head of Division.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current speakers, understanding their needs and preferences.
Present and pitch speakers to buyers, highlighting their expertise and speaking style.
Negotiate fees and contracts with buyers.
Research and identify new areas for growth for our speakers, and help build buyer database.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote speakers and their expertise, along with the creation of targeted marketing campaigns for speakers.
Utilize online platforms to increase speaker visibility and reach.
