About The Position

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Counsel to join a dynamic Claims Advocacy Team. This role is pivotal in providing expert claims management, advocacy, and consultation services to clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong legal background, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure the highest level of service and support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate required.
Minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation, workers’ compensation, or a similar legal practice.
Proven expertise in claims and litigation management.
Strong background in insurance claims, litigation, and workers’ compensation.

Nice To Haves

Possession of a property & casualty license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and tracking claim statuses to ensure timely resolution.
Reviewing claims reports for accuracy and completeness.
Consulting with and updating clients on the status and progress of their claims.
Identifying concerning claims issues and negotiating with insurers’ claims professionals to set claims on the proper trajectory.
Assisting clients with claims Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), particularly in workers’ compensation matters.
Attending periodic claims status meetings and TPA partnership meetings.
Supporting client service teams and contributing to business development efforts.
Participating in new client acquisition meetings and identifying growth opportunities.
Assisting with personal lines claims matters as needed.
