This role involves monitoring and tracking Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations through sales, purchasing, picking, shipping, and delivery, with minimal supervision. The Senior Aftermarket Expediter will locate out-of-stock parts to support AOG, assist Technical Operations with order-taking as required, and provide leadership and training to entry-level expediters. Direct customer contact is essential to keep them informed of part shipments. The compensation range for this role is $37.91 - $49.76 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Four to five years experience in shipping, material handling, vendor recovery, purchasing, technical operations and logistics.
  • Ability to operate personal computers; experience with Microsoft Windows/Windows NT, Microsoft Office products and in-house computer programs.
  • Must have knowledge of Corridor, Technical Operations and parts sales functions and understand network of alternative suppliers.
  • Extensive knowledge of Gulfstream Procurement, Vendor Recovery procedures and manufacturing principles for both purchased and in-house manufactured parts.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lead critical AOG and aftermarket material support efforts to minimize aircraft downtime and meet customer commitments.
  • Capable of coordinating with Materials, Repair & Control, Procurement, and Service Center teams to expedite material requirements across the enterprise.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Corridor, and/or other inventory management systems to track orders, monitor shortages, and provide real-time status updates.
  • Demonstrates strong customer communication and issue resolution skills, managing high-priority escalations and service recovery actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, inventory optimization, and proactive identification of supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Strong familiarity with parts sources at all Gulfstream locations, 3rd party parts providers, Inventory Locator Service (ILS) and alternatives channels is preferred.
  • Act on behalf of Group Lead in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track Aircraft on Ground (AOG) through sales, purchasing, picking, shipping and delivery.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts to support AOG.
  • Assist Technical Operations by taking over order-taking role as required.
  • Provide leadership and training to entry level expediters.
  • Ensure customers are aware of part shipment through direct customer contact.
  • Develop performance metrics and process improvement plans to management to identify overall performance of expediter group and assist group lead with implementation of process improvements.
  • Daily communication with customers and have lead responsibility for direct customer contact to relay part shipment and core retrieval information.
  • Directly involved in impacting OTC sales revenues annually.
  • Responsible for training and education of entry level expediters, and provide leadership to expediter group in the absence of Group Lead.
  • Identify the most expeditious option to meet and resolve AOG orders.
  • Communicate and ensure conformance to AOG response procedures.
  • Use full requisition and purchasing authority in order to meet AOG requirements.
  • Support Parts Sales and Technical Operation personnel in locating out-of-stock parts for AOG.
  • Monitor out-of-stock parts to ensure parts are delivered to customer and create an AOG summary outcome report.
  • Assist Technical Operation personnel with part orders as required.
  • Assist with the expediting of bulk shipments.
  • Monitor picking and crating to ensure conformance to crating shipping cutoffs for orders taken by 1:30 p.m.
  • Provide daily guidance in directing all Spare Parts Sales Reps.
  • Work with Purchasing to add approved third party suppliers in order to resolve future AOG issues.
  • Work with Planners to review and reduce backorder history.
  • Perform quality assessment when buying from 3rd parties to ensure conformance to Gulfstream quality requirements.
  • Review associated paperwork to ensure existence of inspection documentation including 8130 tags.
  • Identify corrective actions and possible work around when typical GAC and GDAS cannot provide parts in support of schedule requirements; initiate corrective actions and monitor progress to ensure successful prevention of recurring problems.
  • Coordinate all parts issues to ensure proper documentation is provided by either vendors and/or GAC ODARS.
  • Monitor all Corridor Sales Orders to assure proper processing within all GAC departments.
  • Travel domestically and/or internationally as required.
  • Participate in rotating of AOG duties.
  • Facilitate daily shortage meeting with both planning and purchasing management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
