Requirements

  • 10+ years of aerospace maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience , preferably in an MRO or manufacturing environment required.
  • Prior experience in a senior or lead technician role preferred.
  • Military aviation maintenance background preferred.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise with complex components (e.g., actuators, landing gear, control surfaces, avionics enclosures, engine subcomponents—adjust as needed) required.
  • Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 requirements or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency with precision tools, testing instruments, and calibration processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents with exceptional accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • A&P License or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience working with OEM-approved repair data preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems in accordance with FAA, EASA, and OEM standards.
  • Lead complex repair tasks involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems.
  • Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives with expert accuracy.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on component failures and collaborate with engineering teams to drive corrective actions.
  • Operate precision tools, test equipment, calibration devices, and specialized machinery.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians, offering technical training and skill development.
  • Ensure all repairs meet safety, quality, and compliance expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and recommend process enhancements.
  • Communicate repair status, timelines, and issues to supervisors and cross-functional team
