About The Position
iGaming Ontario leads the Province of Ontario’s dynamic internet gaming (igaming) market that, in its third year generated $83 billion in total wagers, a 31% increase over the previous year. This resulted in $3.2 billion in total gaming revenue from over 80 gaming sites. Even more, Ontario’s igaming market sustained almost 15,000 full-time equivalent jobs across the province. To achieve these results, iGaming Ontario is guided by its vision to Lead the World’s Best Gaming Market. iGaming Ontario is hiring a Senior Advisor, Strategy and Corporate Affairs to support iGaming Ontario's strategic planning, corporate performance, government relations, and executive support functions. Working closely with senior leaders, Ministry partners, and cross-functional teams, the role provides strategic analysis, planning, reporting, and advisory services that help translate organizational priorities into actionable plans, monitor progress against objectives, and support informed decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience in strategy, business planning, corporate affairs, public policy, government relations, management consulting, or a related field.
- Knowledge of strategic planning, performance measurement, business planning, and corporate reporting practices.
- Experience conducting strategic analysis and preparing executive-level briefing materials, reports, and recommendations.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and translate findings into recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex issues to diverse audiences.
- A university degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Finance, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of provincial government processes, accountability frameworks, and public sector governance principles is considered an asset.
- Understanding of regulated industries and the broader online gaming, digital gaming, or public sector environment is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of corporate strategic and business plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Develop and monitor performance measures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting frameworks to track progress against strategic objectives.
- Coordinate corporate planning, performance reporting, and enterprise-wide initiatives that advance organizational effectiveness and strategic priorities.
- Identify emerging risks, trends, issues, and opportunities, providing recommendations to support informed business decisions.
- Prepare executive briefings, governance materials, and reports for leadership, Board, and government stakeholders.
- Support government relations activities by monitoring policy and regulatory developments, coordinating responses to stakeholder requests, and preparing materials to support engagement with government partners.
- Contribute to the development of annual business plans, annual reports, accountability documents, and other corporate reporting requirements.
- Coordinate responses to Ministry requests, issues, correspondence, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare high-quality briefing notes, presentations, reports, business cases, and strategic analysis to support executive and senior leadership decision-making.
- Conduct environmental scans, research, jurisdictional reviews, and analysis of industry, public sector, and regulatory trends to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
