About The Position

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to champion and support the implementation of our Safety Management System (SMS) across our Business Unit operations. This role is essential in driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and enhancing operational safety performance through strategic leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative engagement with internal and external collaborators. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in safety advisory roles, preferably in the energy or industrial sector.
  • For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of experience is required (total 9+ years).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective partnership with internal and external collaborators at all levels.
  • Highly organized and adaptable, capable of working independently and collaboratively while managing uncertainty and learning quickly in dynamic environments.
  • Valid passport is required.
  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required which will be validated before hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Safety Professional / Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation or other Professional Board Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the rollout of new or updated SMS elements and occupational health and safety programs.
  • Develop and deliver safety communications and plans tailored to the region, including SOAP and long-term safety priorities.
  • Analyze safety data trends and generate reports to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of safety training programs.
  • Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
  • Coach and support regional leadership and safety representatives in completing safety responsibilities.
