About The Position

Desjardins Investment Solutions is expanding its presence in the exchange-traded fund (ETF) market and is seeking a Senior Advisor to play a key role within the Investment Fund Development and Management team. As Senior Advisor, ETF Development, you’ll play a central role in bringing our product line to market and its evolution. You lead project activities related to fund launches and modifications, in collaboration with an ecosystem of internal experts and external partners. In an operating model with outsourcing components, you ensure the quality, performance and reliability of the services delivered. You also actively contribute to the structuring, optimization and documentation of processes to support the growth and robustness of the ETF activities. You'll also be called upon to contribute to certain development projects of mutual funds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Experience in project or operations management
  • Experience with external suppliers
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Expertise in managing complex initiatives
  • Knowledge of ETFs and mutual funds operating model

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of ETF development projects and initiatives
  • Lead new ETF launches and evolution of existing ETFs
  • Coordinate contributions from internal teams and external partners
  • Proactively manage deadlines, risks and interdependencies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and operational standards
  • Management of partners and outsourced model
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of key external providers
  • Ensure quality of deliveries and compliance with service agreements
  • Help develop and optimize the operating model
  • Act as an escalation point for resolving complex issues
  • Communicate Desjardins Group’s position to external partners
  • Governance and process improvements
  • Document, maintain and update processes
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Help standardize practices
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms and performance indicators
  • Help develop policies, standards and models
  • Communication and collaboration
  • Ensure clear and proactive communication
  • Produce progress reports and tracking tools
  • Facilitate collaboration and issue resolution
