About The Position

Moog is seeking a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer to serve as the project technical lead and customer point of contact for custom spacecraft avionics projects at its Gilbert, Arizona facility. The work spans architecture definition, design and development, component procurement, manufacturing, unit and environmental testing, and verification of product requirements. The engineer coordinates electrical, mechanical, FPGA, software, test, technician, analyst, and other project contributors. In partnership with program management, the role shares responsibility for project cost and schedule execution and facilitates coordination among program management, quality, and operations to ensure development follows Moog’s phase-gate process. The engineer manages stakeholder requirements, derives lower-level requirements as needed, and supports delivery of products that meet customer needs. The position supports custom space electronics from design and development through qualification and production. Responsibilities include technical project leadership, requirements management and verification, proposal support, engineering analyses and reports, test planning and support, troubleshooting, and resolution of manufacturing and testing non-conformances. The role is onsite in the Phoenix, Arizona area and requires serving as the primary point of contact during product testing campaigns. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
