About The Position

As a Systems Network Engineer for Satellite Ground Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team. This role involves installation/maintenance of Windows and Linux patches and updates, script development/maintenance/usage in Perl and PowerShell, and maintenance of network topology that utilize Windows Server DNS and Account Management, Cisco Firewalls and Switches, and Synology NAS. The position also requires experience with Government Nessus scans and the ability to resolve findings, as well as strong written skills for developing and maintaining documentation for network, system, and operations. Additionally, you will maintain/update local and shared Operating System (Windows and Linux) configurations, including McAfee security services. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the software development life cycle, a collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership, and possesses exceptional communication and presentation skills with a notable record of securing buy-in on concepts and ideas. Experience in negotiation with the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions and a commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others are also key. The role also involves identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
