About The Position

Be part of a team developing custom silicon and electro-mechanical solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products, Cloud computing, and Machine Learning. The Product Infrastructure Advanced Operations Engineering Mechanical Team delivers mechanical solutions for Google Cloud, serving Google's functions and customers. In this role, you will lead technical process and product development for Google's compute hardware, including AI solutions for internal and external Cloud customers. You will apply a deep understanding of manufacturing processes—including stamping, molding, casting, extrusion, machining, and assembly—to enable the design and development of next-generation electro-mechanical solutions at scale. You will help qualify new processes and suppliers and guide teams in optimizing designs, production processes, manufacturing lines, and vendors to strengthen supply chains. You will also advocate design-for-excellence feedback, tolerance stack analysis, and mechanical design considerations to enable manufacturing, automation, and scalability. Google's hardware teams work across areas including TPUs, Vertex AI for Google Cloud, Google Global Networking, Data Center operations, and systems research.
