Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer - Technical Validator
About The Position
As a Senior Technical Validator here at Honeywell, you will support technical validation activities for engines, power systems and mechanical controls systems for Aero and UAM aircrafts. Your responsibilities will include the review of drawings for manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to industry and internal standards; verify geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to ensure proper fit at next-level assembly; and review 3D model integrity to ensure accurate translation to CAD and CAM tools. You will act as a technical lead for less experienced engineers supporting you. You will also lead continuous improvement efforts including knowledge capture, design standards, tools and process improvements. This position is within the Mechanical Design, Technical Validation & Standards team, part of Aerospace Engineering and Technology, Control Systems (CS) organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in technical validation of mechanical systems
- Proficiency in reviewing drawings for manufacturability and dimensional accuracy
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with 3D model integrity checks
- Familiarity with CAD and CAM tools
- Leadership experience or potential
