About The Position

This role provides direct input to the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) by performing manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes, and quality concerns. The engineer will project manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment and tooling, facilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility, and provide corresponding technical training. Additionally, the role involves completing Process FMEA and managing RPN risks. The position also assesses product, process, equipment, and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and manages action items for resolution. Support for customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate, and internal process sign-offs is also required, along with supporting continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering Plastics or Engineering Technology required (BSME or BSMET or similar). Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
  • 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing, process engineering, tooling, or similar
  • Must be able to and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.

  • Experience in Automotive/Manufacturing (Tier One Automotive interiors experience preferred, not required)
