This role provides direct input to the Simultaneous Development Team (SDT) by performing manufacturing feasibility assessments for product design, engineering changes, scope changes, and quality concerns. The engineer will project manage the procurement and acceptance of required equipment and tooling, facilitate the implementation of production equipment/tooling into the manufacturing facility, and provide corresponding technical training. Additionally, they will complete Process FMEA and manage RPN risks. The role also involves assessing product, process, equipment, and tooling strategies for potential ergonomic concerns and managing action items to resolve them. Support for customer part needs through pilot, testing, run-at-rate, and internal process sign-offs is required, as is the creation and support of continuous improvement projects. All employees must understand, apply, and meet function-related requirements for International Operating System (IOS), Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, Compliance, and Information Security. Employees must also comply with all company policies and procedures, be able to work additional hours and/or overtime as needed or assigned, demonstrate the ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels. Predictable and regular attendance is required.
