Requirements

  • 8-15 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have valid driving privileges
  • Frequent travel (6-20%)
  • Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)

Nice To Haves

  • Four years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, production planning, project management, or product development environment.
  • Good organizational, communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess ability to grow relationships and create a sense of a cohesive bond across business units.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning software such as SAP and project management software.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Knowledge of Company department interdependencies.
  • Automation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Manufacturing Development Process (MDP) for manufacturing projects assigned by the Manufacturing Management Team.
  • Define, plan, organize, and kick-off projects including assisting management team with the creation of the pre-profile document, identifying project core and non-core team members, developing preliminary project schedule, and defining other project goals.
  • Lead multiple cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure project success.
  • Manage initialization, planning phases by obtaining team member input to refine project goals and create detailed project schedule, project budget, cost targets, product performance targets, and quality goals.
  • Manage validation and implementation of projects through refinement, check, test, pre-production, and closure phases.
  • Monitor project progress to goals, resolve issues as appropriate, adjust plans where needed, and ensure a coordinated introduction of robust processes to production and customer.
  • Create, set vision, and provide direction for the development and implementation of improved manufacturing processes and concepts across the organization.
  • Research current and advanced manufacturing technologies and lead the transfer to improve operations.
  • Develop and mentor other Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians and provide technical direction and leadership.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers, manufacturing management, equipment suppliers, etc. to propose improvements to operations through the implementation of processes, equipment, tooling and state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.
  • Prepare or assist in project justification including recommendations, make-vs-buy analysis, cost impact, and schedule activities as required.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional project management skills to plan and implement capital projects usually through project completion.
