About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior/Advanced Developer to join a mission-critical project for the City of Jacksonville. In this role, you will address tough system challenges by leveraging your advanced expertise in Microsoft T-SQL, SSIS, and the .NET ecosystem. You will work in a collaborative, Agile environment alongside other developers, designers, testers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, secure technical solutions that align with business and IT strategies. This role is full time and onsite in Jacksonville, FL.

Requirements

Proficient in C#, .NET Frameworks, ASP.NET, VB.NET, and Entity Framework Core.
Strong experience with Angular, TypeScript, MVC, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, and XML.
Understanding of both desktop and mobile web development.
Advanced Microsoft T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS skills.
Hands-on experience with RESTful API integration.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile environments.
Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Must be highly self-motivated, able to work independently on smaller projects, and eager to keep up with industry trends.

Secure coding/development experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day database design.
Write, review, optimize, and debug long and complex stored procedures, triggers, SQL queries, SSIS, and SSRS.
Develop new components and modules using C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Angular, MVC, and RESTful API integrations (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE).
Prepare detailed specifications and technical design documents.
Identify and resolve gaps between business requirements and technical design.
Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to capture business rules and translate them into a robust architectural model.
Provide quick turnaround on issues and requests.
Enforce Microsoft and secure coding standards.
Debug code, perform thorough unit testing, and support QA and User Acceptance testing.
Deliver final products on time, within budget, and with minimum defects.
Perform development using Agile methodologies and proper source control (Git on Azure DevOps / TFS).
