About The Position

In the School of Medicine, Deming Department of Medicine, Section of Nephrology, this role manages and coordinates the Fellowship Programs. The Senior Administrative Assistant serves as the primary contact for fellowship program applicants and the Program Directors, and is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Fellows. This position is the primary contact to the public and the University for the Fellowship Program and Program Director. Additionally, the role provides comprehensive secretarial support to the section chief, faculty members, and administrator of the Section of Nephrology.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years' directly related experience
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement
  • Ability to work independently with little or no instruction or supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others of diverse personalities, education and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Mature and professional attitude is essential
  • Good computer skills; working knowledge required: graphics, database, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) or more years' directly related experience working in a business or academic setting
  • Experience with medical graduate education
